Texas Star Hibiscus, Scarlet Hibiscus - Hibiscus coccineus

My Texas Star has gotten to 12'4" two years in a row now ! so they can get much bigger . Unfortunately Hurricane Irene took my favorite and most special tree down. I still have 4 left and next year! I just wanted to let you know they can get taller. Why they do I'm not sure , I thought it was natural. Then when the hurricane took down the biggest I found someone who identified the species , and he was very surprised at the height. Anyhow , just passing on some info.
Thanks, Lisa Bishop
